We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our sales team. This role will report to the President and drive sales via a consultative multi-touchpoint sales strategy for Real Vision sponsorships.
Your role will be driving Real Vision’s YouTube, Podcast network, and newsletters. You’re a self-starter who works well under pressure, thinks out of the box, easily initiates relaxed but informative two-way conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated.

You will:

    • Own a revenue target for Sponsorships Sales for YouTube, Podcast, and Newsletters
    • Reporting to the President, you’ll lead the Sales team and work with the Content team to identify new qualified prospects and develop the strategy for outbound outreach
    • Identify immediate opportunities to increase revenue across formats (YouTube, Newsletters, Podcast Network)
    • Expand and manage the pipeline of prospects, including international-specific audiences
    • Create target prospects lists on an ongoing and campaign-driven basis using LinkedIn and our CRM
    • Profile strategic accounts by identifying key individuals and researching business requirements
    • Execute outbound marketing campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and cold calls
    • Organize, Segment, Track, and document notes and clients in HubSpot for all communication activity, background information on clients, and other appropriate notes that can be used to monitor progress and opportunities
    • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to appropriate teams
    • Manage and vet the flow of inbound strategic partnership requests
    • Manage existing accounts and implement plans for continued client management/follow-up to increase renewals and longer-term partnerships
    • Develop sales materials, demonstrating excellent written communication skills, strong storytelling abilities, and an understanding of the power of good design
    • Manage sales operations; maintain an accurate, up-to-date database of all partners and prospects and provide regular activity/contact reports, quarterly sales reports, etc.
    • Contribute ideas, market insights, and client feedback to the business and product development process

We’re looking for someone who:

    • 4+ years’ experience driving sales full cycle outbound sales in digital media, ideally in both established companies and start-up environments
    • Experience selling to large accounts using a consultative selling process
    • Experience with or knowledge of the financial industry
    • Proven success with and understanding of a structured sales process, including prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, proposing, presenting, and discussing solutions with marketing executives and other decision-makers
    • Experience building creative solutions for clients/brands that encompass cross-platform offerings, including digital, video, audio, live events/conferences, content creation, marketing services, etc.
    • Experience leading strategic sales conversations at all levels, gaining buy-in across functions and levels in matrixed organizations
    • Highly organized and polished yet entrepreneurial, with the ability to build a professional sales function in a fast-growing virtual environment
    • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts and integrate data and key information into a clear, logical story
    • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, including virtually
    • A reputation as a proven closer who is persistent yet professional
    • A network of key contacts, ideally in the financial, banking or crypto sectors
    • Ability to deal with rejection daily continue to follow through and find success
    • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, and excellent listening skills with a positive and energetic phone presence
