KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build secure smart contract protocols and backend services to connect Propy users with the blockchain ecosystem
- Drive the standardization in crypto protocols by designing and defining interfaces
- Mentor and train other team members on smart contract best practices
- Implement and deploy smart contracts to Ethereum mainnet and layer 2’s
- Write secure, high quality, gas-efficient, and well-tested Solidity
- A deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine
- Maintain existing smart contracts (written in Solidity)
- Add testing suite coverage on contracts
- Participate and contribute in architecture conversations on contract design and blockchain design
- Work with engineers on the web / backend side on integrations
- Ability to build Dapp front-end to interact with deployed smart contracts is a plus
TO BE A SUCCESSFUL BLOCKCHAIN DEVELOPER YOU SHOULD HAVE
- 1-3 years of experience with Solidity
- Demonstrable experience interacting with the Ethereum Virtual Machine and writing high-quality, well-tested Solidity
- Progressive enhancement techniques
- Enthusiasm regarding the dynamic environment of a startup
- Experience with Rust based programming is a plus
- Good understanding of design patterns
- Responsible team player looking forward to mentoring junior team members
- Written and spoken English communication
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through with the rest of the team
- Good technical and non-technical communication skills
- Knowledge of the Elastic stack is a plus
- Experience with AWS is a plus
