Overview

Founded in 2014, Ledger is a company specializing in security solutions for cryptocurrencies and blockchain applications. At Ledger, you have the opportunity to work with passionate teams and are confronted with innovative legal issues in a field where everything is to be created.
Ledger attaches great importance to the protection and security of personal data. As an intern within the DPO team, you are responsible for assisting the team in their business compliance activities.
As such:
– You participate in monitoring the compliance program of each team in the group and in compliance actions (identification of measures to be taken, recommendations, development of procedures, etc.).
– You are responsible for processing requests from customers and employees concerning their personal data (access, deletion, rectification, etc.) and contribute to improving and automating the procedure for managing these requests.
– You contribute to the mapping of processing and data flows between the internal systems and the group’s technical service providers, and you update the processing register.
– You participate in the negotiation of the clauses relating to personal data in the contracts concluded by Ledger with its service providers, and in the periodic review of the compliance of these service providers.
– You contribute to monitoring ongoing litigation, defining strategy and managing relationships with lawyers.
– You more generally answer all questions from the teams regarding personal data.
– You are in charge of legal monitoring on current topics and the drafting of internal communications (eg newsletters) for business teams.
Depending on the needs, you will also intervene in support of all the members of the legal department on a wide variety of subjects (trademark law, contract law, corporate, etc.)
Start of the internship: June 2023
Internship duration: 6 months

Qualifications required:

– You have a specialization in personal data law or new technologies law (Master 2), with experience in a legal department or law firm in charge of personal data issues, or in a data protection authority .
– You are extremely rigorous, you have a strong sense of organization and you are able to carry out multiple projects in parallel.
– You like to work in a team and are not afraid to get in touch with the operational staff.
– You have excellent interpersonal skills.
– You have a fluent level of English allowing you to exchange daily with teams located abroad but also to work on contracts in English.
– You are familiar with standard Google Workspace office software (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
– Knowledge in the field of blockchain and cryptos is appreciated but is not essential.
